Nokia Team Up With Microsoft, Hold A Gaming Convection In Cologne, Germany

Remember the 17th August, mark it and put it somewhere, in your diary or anything so you won't forget about it. Use days left widget haha because on that day Nokia and Microsoft holding an event, a gaming event in Cologne in Germany. Expect surprises, yes and many of us take it as Windows Phone 7 reveal by Nokia, the prototype or a beta product. Although it is really weird to unveil a phone in a gaming expo except your unveiling a gaming phone or a gaming product and something like that. What could Nokia and Microsoft surprises is?

Foxconn Using Robots In Years To Come, 1 Million Robots By Next 3 Years

Nokia and Apple is going to replace workers with one million robots in the year to come. For now Foxconn workers who manufacture the phone for many industry including the iPhone and Nokia phones, they have about 1.2 billion workers and about 10,000 robots working with them. And now Foxconn is going to increase the workers with a million robots by the next 3 years. Robots didn't complaint about wages, didn't kill themselves so Foxconn sees this to solve their problem

Nokia 500 Officially Reveal

It features some mid-range specs for a Nokia phone, features are

• 3.2 Inch screen, a 360 x 480 screen resolution of capacitive touch screen
• 1GHz processor
• 5 megapixel with no flash back camera
• WiFi
• GPS
• FM Radio
• 2GB of internal memory
• Symbian Anna

The good news is that the smartphone will be priced at the affordable €150 (roughly $215), and is expected to hit the shelves in the third quarter of 2011, just as the rumors have suggested

N9 Set For 15th September Release In Switzerland Via Orange

Orange Switzerland's webpage announces the N9 is coming its way September 15th. Last month Swedish carrier 3 Group promised it would arrive there September 23rd, while some retailer in Kazakhstan is apparently listing them for sale August 19th. So the earliest date for the N9 debut is so far August but most points in September, this mean battle of the new iPhone, Windows Phone Mango and now Meego. Android Ice-Cream will be a late comer coming in late Q3 or Q4 so Android is out for this battle.

Second Quarter, Nokia Loss Profit

Nokia has post negative result about second quarter of this year, a loss of €368 Million and 32% Drop in Smartphone Sales.The company, which had posted profits of Euro 227 million in the same quarter a year ago, informed that the sales fell by 7 percent to Euro 9.3 billion. Nokia had already predicted a poor second quarter due to a drop in sale. The loss of sale is due to Android and Apple popularity and now they join force with Microsoft to make up the loss, 

“The challenges we are facing during our strategic transformation manifested in a greater than expected way in Q2 2011m,” Nokia CEO Stephen Elop said in a statement.

“However, even within the quarter, I believe our actions to mitigate the impact of these challenges have started to have a positive impact on the underlying health of our business. Most importantly, we are making better-than-expected progress toward our strategic goals,” he added.

Despite the poor quarter, Nokia maintained that its smartphone and mobile phone divisions were moving ahead as planned.

Nokia Sea Ray Unveiled Today?

Eldar says that Nokia might unveiled the Nokia Sea Ray today. It's sound like a rumour and probably is since Fujitsu says that their Windows Phone 7 Mango will be the first Mango device in the market, maybe Nokia didn't like it so they decide it to unveiled it now.

Nokia Windows Phone 7 Is No Different From Other Windows Phone 7 Device Says Eldar Murtazin

Eldar Murtazin says that recently he get up close to Nokia first Windows Phone 7, and his reaction is that the phone is no different from the other Windows Phone 7 device by other manufacturers. It feels the same, the display, the speed is all the same, only the design is by Nokia. Nokia reacted, saying that Eldar’s comments are “simply speculation and rumors,” also adding that Eldar is said to be a consultant for competing manufacturers and therefore cannot be an impartial analyst. Seeing the release video showing the Nokia Sea Ray, looks like there is some truth to this, but maybe he's seeing the prototype built of Mango and Windows Phone 7 but maybe not

Nokia 500 AKA Nokia Fate Expose

Nokia Fate aka Nokia 500 is fully exposed for its upcoming ads. The ads says the 500 will support 1GHz processor, WiFi and 5 mp camera. Also 3 colours will be available during launch, red, blue and black with black as the main colour chosen for this smartphone. The Fate is the low end one, with 600 Cindy, 700 Zeta and 701 Helen with Symbian Anna pre installed or maybe Symbian Belle for the high end smartphone which is Zeta and Helen

Swype Coming To Windows Phone 7 Via Nokia?

Swype is one of the 3rd parties keyboard and now many smartphone is using it and the lates to get it Android. Windows Phone 7 are yet to see it coming to them, but now it could be a reality for users as the Swype keyboard could come to them via Nokia Windows Phone 7. Nokia is one of the smartphone companies that invested and use Swype keyboard for their smartphone. So will Nokia bring Swype to Windows Phone 7? Looks like it as Microsoft give Nokia the ability to customize their own Windows Phone 7

Microsoft is planning to sell about 100 million Windows Phone 7 this year with the help of Nokia and also Skype, hoping this would be enough to help achieve it. With about currently 11 stores outside the US, surely its hard but since Nokia is one of the giant phone manufacturer and now using Windows Phone as its main OS, this will really help a lot

GPNE, Hawaii based company is suing Apple, SONY, RIM, Amazon and Nokia for patent infringement in data transfer management which is a standard for 3G GSM Radio frequencies to allow feature like always connect to internet and multimedia messaging.

N9 Appera In Italian Website

Nokia N9 has emerge in the Italian website and this could mean that the N9 launch is around corner as Stephen Elop says when the announce a Nokia phone, the launch date is very near so if we take account of that, looks like the N9 and Meego OS wave is expected to launch in September of this year at a price of about $660 and $750 for its 16 and 64 gigabyte versions respectively. It features a curved 3.9-inch AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass and a 1GHz TI OMAP3630 CPU backed up by a gigabyte of RAM under its hood. Some other neat features that the N9 boasts are a 8-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics capable of shooting 720p videos and support for NFC..

You Get The N9, You won't Get The Sea ray, You Get The Sea Ray, You Won't Get The N9

Looks like someone dig deep down to the roots of Nokia and found something interesting. Yes it is about the Nokia flagship phone of two different OS, Nokia sea Ray and Nokia N9. From the tweet above, looks like the countries which get the Nokia Sea ray or act as a host country for Nokia Windows Phone 7 will not receive the N9 and vice versa for those countries who get the N9 will not get Nokia Windows Phone 7 or Nokia Sea Ray. Looks like Nokia is up something and the question is why did Nokia make some smartphone with different OS available in different country? Why not just launch both smartphone in all countries?

Update The Design On Apps, Make Evolution

 Nokia is guiding its developer on how to develop an evolution app rather then a revolution app with the design that they required for Symbian to compete. Look like the design is to ready for Symbian Belle from the first two but could likely be found in Anna. So will developers follow it or not? The design is quite nice though then the usual one that Nokia 3rd party app currently using

Nokia N9 Will Still Be Support, No Worries; Symbian Belle Featuring Harmattan Swipe From MEEGO

Yes the Nokia N9 , Nokia flagship for MEEGO will still be supported. They won't just release and forget about it, there will be several software update for both the N9 and the N950 for developers. But again those two are the only two MEEGO smartphone from Nokia and the rest is all the way Windows Phone 7

In other news, Symbian Belle, Pr 3.0 after Symbian Anna will feature a Harmattan like swipe. So does that mean Nokia just take what it want from MEEGO that is useful for them and plant it in Symbian but then goes to Windows Phone 7? Looks like it, pretty nice though but still Symbian will be supported until 2016.
