Google Expands Currents' Availability, Language Support:
Google today increased the availability of its Google Currents application. Currents is a news ereader that can collect information from a wide variety of news sources in a fashion similar to Flipboard and Pulse. Google Currents version 1.1 is available around the world, as are a greater variety of news sources from around the world. Google says that readers can also choose to automatically have content that's published in other languages translated to one of 38 supported languages. Last, the application will now automatically sync content in the background rather than when users open and use the app. Google Currents 1.1 is available in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. It is free.
