N9 Set For 15th September Release In Switzerland Via Orange

Orange Switzerland's webpage announces the N9 is coming its way September 15th. Last month Swedish carrier 3 Group promised it would arrive there September 23rd, while some retailer in Kazakhstan is apparently listing them for sale August 19th. So the earliest date for the N9 debut is so far August but most points in September, this mean battle of the new iPhone, Windows Phone Mango and now Meego. Android Ice-Cream will be a late comer coming in late Q3 or Q4 so Android is out for this battle.

iPhone 3GS Gets A Price Drop

iPhone 3GS finally get a price drop effective on 31/7/11. This move is as a start to ready for the next Apple next generation iPhone, so now's the time to get the iPhone 3GS at a very low price for US customer, from Radio Shack AT&T's 16GB iPhone 4 to $169.99, with a two-year contract, from $199.99. The 32GB version will likewise take a $30 plunge at the Shack, ringing in at $269.99, and the price of the 8GB 3GS will drop to $19.99.

iPhone 5/S Casing Leak

There are so many rumours of the next iPhone 5/S, too many which is hard to separate one from another. This time, the latest are iPhone 5 casing made from China. Before this China has leak the casing of the real iPad 2 via Foxconn worker, now the iPhone 5 casing.

The cases revealed that the next-gen model will have a curved back similar to the Apple iPhone 3GS, a larger edge-to-edge screen which keeps the size of the casing manageable while raising the size of the display, and a larger home button that will allow for gestures based control and navigation.

But the thing is according to a rumour, the next iPhone should separate the back flash from the camera. seeing this casing, it suggest that the camera and the flash are still together so this could be wrong casing but who knows the design is not much of a change

Motorola Atrix 4G AT&T Gingerbread Now Available

Motorola Atrix 4G At&T US users should be happy as the Gingerbread update build 2.3.4 is now available to be downloaded. After entering soak test mode last week, looks like all is a go and so the update now available to the public.

The 2.3.4 Gingerbread updated contain some goodies plus some more: enhancements to the picture gallery, to the music player, updated user interface with simpler home screen design, HD video playback in 1080p, and a whole lot more. And probably the most important and interesting of them all are the ability to sideload apps

Facebook Update Its IOS And Windows Phone 7 Client

Jailbreak iPhone And iPod Touch Can't Update To Latest IOS 5 Beta 4

IOS 5 beta 5 release today and it comes with some nasty surprise. If you're running a jailbroken iPhone, iPod touch then you'll notice that you can't update it and turns out any iPhone or iPod touch which is jailbroken can't be updated due to an explicit of an application.

The only way you can update now is by using Itunes, pushing the update manually rather then OTA but of course you'll need the updated firmware. Using likely to reverse your jailbreak, but that's the price to update your iPhone and iPod touch.
Update: It appears that the the IOS 5 Beta 4 jailbreak is now available so those who update using the iTunes method pushing it manually, so no worries. It appears that the OTA is unavailable for those who jailbroken and thats it. It doesn't block the the tether jailbreak or anything, it just prevent a jailbroken iDevice to be update to the latest firmware via OTA

Next iPad Will Support Retina Display And Non-Apple Product Also Support It

While making an announcement, a slip of the tongue revealed that, “more smartphone manufacturers will release new models employing LG’s “Retina Display’’ that has been used in iPhones and iPads.” Now as we know, iPads do not currently have Retina display and the only iDevices which currently does is the the iPhone 4 and the iPod touch 4G, of which LG manufactures the screens.

Yes the next iPad which many hope happen in the iPad 2 is the retina display which the iPhone is using now. It didn't happen in the iPad 2 but from the slip reveal, the next iPad will support a retina display. Also which next non-Apple product will feature a retina display? Android, Windows Phone 7 device are the likely contestant? Maybe an Ebook so you could read your newspaper in HD.

White Ipod Touch Coming

9to5mac got something for you Apple fanboys, it looks like the old Ipod touch or a prototype but some believe that its the next  the iPod touch 5G which is expected to come with 3G-connectivity built-in.

All iPod touches produced so far have been black. Apple released white colored versions of the iPhone 4 and iPad 2 this year, so a white iPod touch would most definitely fit in well.

With the A5 processor running things on the iPad 2, it would be quite safe to say that the iPod touch 5G would be based on the same dual-core SoC (System-on-a-Chip). RAM will also be doubled to 512MB, surely, to keep up with more demanding apps. Lastly, there are chances of Apple bumping up the camera. The 0.7 megapixel shooter on the iPod touch 4G is pathetic; just a small bump, say, to 2 megapixels would be quite welcome.

It is expected that Apple will either announce the iPod touch 5G or the iPhone 5 this September. Who knows: maybe they will announce both together!

Lodsys Targeting Giant Companies -- Rovio, Electronic Arts, Square Enix, Atari, Take-Two

Lodsys recently won patent case and now, amended its original complaint against mobile devs, removing one company, but adding five new ones -- all of them big names. Rovio, Electronic Arts, Square Enix, Atari, and Take-Two Interactive have been added to the list of defendants in the suit filed back in May. Vietnamese company Wulven Games has been dropped from the complaint, but Lodsys has more than made up for it by directly targeting possibly the largest mobile title out there -- Angry Birds. Attacking many giants at one time, its crazy or what?

Itnues Added More Country Support

Itunes has addedd new list of country that it support, curious if your country made in? Check out the new addition of the country below:

Algeria, Angola, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Barbados, Belarus, Belize, Bermuda, Bolivia, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Cyprus, Dominica, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Iceland, Montserrat, Nigeria, Oman, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Suriname, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos, Uzbekistan, Yemen

LG Remaining Phone For 2011

LG's remaining smartphone is now expose for the remaining 2011

The LG Prada K2, this dual-core model looks to be the second-half flagship, highlighted by its brighter 4.3-inch NOVA LCD and 8.8-millimeter thickness. On-board are dual cameras: 1.3-megapixel front and eight-megapixel rear, with 16GB of internal storage. Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and offering 21Mbps HSPA+ cellular data, K2 is also said to feature a Prada-inspired texture on the casing. Release is this holiday season

The LG Univa,With an 800MHz processor, 3.5-inch HVGA display, and five-megapixel camera, Univa sounds like a solid upgrade to the 500MHz-powered Optimus One. Said to be 11.9-millimeters thick, Univa runs Gingerbread and brings DLNA support into the low-to-mid-range. Look for this one in the fourth quarter.

LG Fantasy 2,the Windows Phone 7 Mango-powered LG Fantasy, although we can safely extrapolate most of its specs, thanks to WP7's tight hardware requirements. One thing that's clear from its appearance: LG seems to be using the same design cues seen on its top-tier Android devices, eschewing the somewhat plasticky look associated with its first-gen Windows Phones. A fourth quarter release is also likely here.

LG Victor should arrive this quarter instead slotted into the mid-range. The Gingerbread-powered slate reportedly packs a 1GHz single-core processor, 3.8-inch OLED display with WVGA resolution, and five-megapixel rear/VGA front-facing cameras. The 802.11b/g/n radio supposedly supports both DLNA and Wi-Fi Direct.

LG Gelato model number P690. While that handset will likely be coming to Sprint as the LS685 -- possibly as soon as this month -- there's also apparently an NFC-capable model in the pipeline scheduled for a fourth quarter release. It shares the original phone's 800MHz processor, 3.2-inch HVGA display, and three-megapixel camera, but adds the capabilities to make touchless payments and read tags, among others.

LG E2, a smallish QVGA display, sub-gigahertz processor, and a basic three-megapixel-or-so camera. E2 sounds even more barebones than the Optimus One, suggesting that LG is attempting to push its Android lineup downmarket.

And lastly the LG K. This promises to be one of the first phones with a true 720p HD display; it's likely to be the device we currently know as the P930. We're anticipating a screen around 4.5 inches with a pixel density that matches or exceeds that of the iPhone's Retina Display.

Nokia OVI Map Availble To Android And IOS User

Nokia OVI map is one of the best map alternative if your device doesn't support any other mapping application, before only Nokia phone can access it but now Nokia open its door to Android and IOS users giving an alternative to Android Google map, Garmin and any 3rd party map. Just head to maps.nokia.com and enjoy.

Apple Bidding For HULU Acquisition

Apple win the Nortel patents with the help of some other companies and now Apple is bidding for HULU. Bloomberg reports that Cupertino is in early talks that may lead to an offer for Hulu which would give Apple a subscription service capable of competing with Netflix. While Hulu did not comment on the information, Scott Sutherland, Wedbush Securities Inc. analyst thinks that "part of the ecosystem of Apple’s future is to include more video". So will video streaming will next to explode after music streaming and cloud storage?

HTC Peter Chou Ready To Fight Apple Patent War

HTC is now facing Apple wrath of patent and the court found HTC is guilty in infringing 2 out of 10 patents and now HTC own CEO  Peter Chou ready to fight Apple in Patent War. Peter Chou said HTC was "confident that we have a strong case", though "the "war" over smartphone customers should be fought in the market place, not the courts".

HTC is prepared to fight back but also threatens Apple with a raft of patents that HTC recently acquired with S3 Graphics. "We have enough patents to make a stand," said Mr Chou, so it looks like Apple found another tough-to-crack nut with HTC,

When a new product especially a successor of a current phone, the current phone will have some discount on its accessories and later the phone itself. Samsung has yet to join the 3D smartphone family and to join Samsung will be using Galaxy 3D, a galaxy family phone. The phone is expected to run on Android 2.3 OS but will be upgraded to a future Android version. To power its 3D prowess, the phone will most likely feature Samsung’s in-house developed 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos processor, a 4.3-inch 3D LCD screen and dual 8MP cameras. There will be an HD TV-out as well to output captured 3D content directly on the 3D TV.

Apple Maybe Confirm About Iphone 5/S In Fall?

During earning session yesterday for Apple, someone who have a very sharp ear caught something interesting. he company revealed record sales and staggering profits for the quarter ending in June. Nevertheless, they predicted a 12% drop in revenue for the next quarter.

When Apple's CFO Peter Oppenheimer was asked about a possible coincidence between the forecasted 12% drop and the autumn release of the iPhone 5, he answered the following:

"For education buying season, September is weighted toward higher education, and we expect increases there. We also expect increases in iPhone, etc. There is also a future product transition that we are not going to talk about today. Those factors are already in our guidance."
The future product is like hinting about the next Iphone 5/S to release it in Fall
