Apple has launch many things to complete its own ecosystem where Google lead the way now having a very huge domain for all its service, recently with Google + as its main center and also as its social network application to improve its service.
Apple not falling behind is going to release another competitive service that rival Netflix and Hulu, calling it iReplay is a service that provide movie available for rent in iTunes but not like Netflix with one subscription price but one movie per price. Yes it's a huge difference but things could get better once it's launch and changes happen here and there.
And according to AppAdvice:
In a nutshell, iTunes Replay is an extension to what Apple is already doing with iCloud and free re-downloads of previously purchased content. As Apple secures the remaining rights, TV Shows as well as Movies in iTunes will be given little arrow indicating whether they’re “iTunes Replay eligible”, that is, available to be downloaded subsequent times. Note that some content will unfortunately only be available to download five times and we don’t know how streaming will count towards that limit.
