Samsung has confirmed to merge its various display units that includes the recent spun-off Samsung Display, Samsung Mobile Display and S-LCD into one. The merger was approved by the Board of Directors and is expected to complete by July 1.
Samsung Electronics will have a majority stake, about 84 percent whereas Samsung SDI will hold about 14 percent in the merged company.
