HTC Droid Incredible 2 Gingerbread 'Soon'
HTC Droid Incredible 2 is getting Gingerbread soon according to Verizon. The update, when it finally arrives, will bring the Incredible 2 up to system software 2.18.605.4. Besides the standard changes we know to expect from Gingerbread, there are a whole bunch of other fixes and tweaks bundled up in this release. If you're using one of the wireless induction-charging battery covers, you'll find a new charging interface waiting for you. Global support should be improved, with better performance when roaming off of Verizon's CDMA network. Hotmail should now sync properly, and you'll find the system reporting more detail on resources consumed by currently-running apps. Beyond these and other specific improvements, Verizon promises a more stable smartphone experience, with fewer resets or freezes getting in your way.
