Last year we reported about a rumor that Universal Search might come to Windows Phone in Tango release, but it didn’t happen. Now we have a report from Insideris blog that Universal Search will be included in Windows Phone 8. The search icon which now appears on the app list screen will be made visible on Start screen itself. So an user can tap the search icon on the start screen and start typing the search term. The search results will include contacts, apps, games, music tracks, messages, etc,. This behavior can be experienced in the upcoming desktop OS Windows 8 as well.
