Tumblr introduces new Pinned Posts feature:
Tumblr has a new function for those vying for attention on the dashboard: pinned posts. Similar to the highlighted posts feature introduced in February, the pinned posts feature allows advertisers — or any user looking to garner extra attention for a particular post — to pay $5 to have the post pinned to the top of their followers' dashboards for 24 hours. While the new feature could be regarded as somewhat of an invasive promotion tool, users can choose to unpin the post from the top of their dash if they no longer wish to see it. At the time of launch some Tumblr users are reporting difficulties unpinning posts or having them reappear after a page refresh, but we encountered no such trouble.
