The Lenovo LePhone K860 is another “phablet” device that is making it’s way into the market. Not a world wide launch as yet, but it will be launched only in China, in the month of August, for the meantime.
The Lenovo LePhone K860 (unfortunate name for a fairly impressive phone, at least on paper) will join the ranks of Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note when and if it comes to the world market. For now, here is a lookup at the technical specification of the LePhone K860.
The Lenovo LePhone is a 5 inch behemoth with a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution full HD screen. It will run the Android version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will be powered by a Samsung Exynos 4412 quad core processor with a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. The device also sports an 8 MP rear-facing camera with LED Flash and a 2 MP front-facing webcam. The device has 1 GB of RAM but internal memory is a measly 4 GB. We hope Lenovo decides to make different versions of the phone and offers others with better internal memory or at least offer one with the capability of expanding the storage space with the help of a MicroSD card.
When it comes to a 5 inch phone, the dimensions become all the more important. The Lenovo LePhone K860 weighs in at 185 grams or 6.5 ounces and measure 9.6 mm or 0.37 inches thick. The price is, as of yet, unknown.
The one down-side (apart from the name) to the LePhone K860 is it’s rather dull look. With it’s current look and low internal memory, it has no chance to even try to take on the Galaxy Note.
