Bethesda promises "10 to 20 hours of new content" in the expansion, which centers on the decision to become a flying, transforming, gargoyle-summoning Vampire Lord, or a member of the Dawnguard that is sworn to hunt those vampires down. Vampire Lords and Werewolves will have access to entirely new perk trees in the expansion, while Dawnguard members will be able to wield crossbows and craft new, more powerful Dragonbone items. Dawnguard players will also be able to explore a new dimension of trapped souls called the "Soul Cairn."
