5 Things Microsoft Needs to Dominate Its E3 Press Conference: Over the years, Microsoft has tried to do innovative stuff with its E3 press conferences, whether it was bringing Cirque du Soleil to try and create a whirlwind of a Kinect experience (which kind of failed, by the way), giving out Xbox 360 systems to audience members to show off its latest model (the one year I decide not to attend – bah!), or introducing celebrity guests in the hopes of driving up third-party game sales (like Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr for The Beatles Rock Band – not a bad idea, actually).
