Lockwood Publishing, best known for working on a ton of PS Home games and spaces is also working on a Vita title.
Considering Lockwood Publishing has worked almost exclusively on Home projects – such as Uncharted 2, Assassin’s Creed, Killzone 3 and Dead Island spaces and the games SodiumOne, Sodium2 and upcoming Home RPG Mercia: Fractured Realms – it’s surprising to see that the developer and self publisher has set its eyes on Sony’s handheld platform.
We’ve spotted several LinkedIn profiles for Lockwood, such as that of the Director and Co-Founder Joel Kemp, which says [emphasis added]:
Lockwood Publishing is a Freemium Games and Virtual Goods Publisher specialising in PlayStation Home and Unity 3D, with Lockwood Studios doing the development work for PlayStation Home and Sony Vita.Previous Lockwood developer Aaron Jenkins also states that they are working on an “Unannounced Title” for Vita.
It’s a bit of a leap of the imagination to suggest this means that Home is coming to Vita, and rather more likely that Lockwood is working on a freemium digital title for the handheld. If we’re lucky, we might see the game at Sony’s E3 conference tomorrow.
Have you played any of Lockwood’s Home games like the popular Sodium? Let us know in the comments below!
