Budget-friendly phone maker Ematic recently revealed its most recent entry into the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) market, the 9.7-inch eGlide Pro X tablet. Ematic believes its new tablet would do a better job for professional and personal use as it is packed with great features while sporting the versatility of Google’s latest mobile operating system.

eGlide Pro X sports a powerful processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 400MHz GPU and complemented by 1GB RAM. Basically, these specs mean this tablet will be competing in the mid-range market. It also comes with 8GB internal memory and 5GB cloud storage. If this is not enough a space, you can always purchase a microSD card as it is supported. Notably, this slate comes with 9.7 inches screen featuring 4:3 aspect ratio and fairly high resolution.

This will come with Android 4.0 ICS pre-installed upon release bringing all the features everybody wants to experience so you don’t have to watch out for any new update rollouts. Having this tablet will also give owners access to thousands of apps stored in Ematic’s App Shop. For professionals, an office suite is available so they can view Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents while being mobile. Bookworms would surely appreciate, Kobo Reading app that gives them access to over 2.5 million ebooks. Above all, eGlide Pro X has a voice-to-text app that is proven useful in composing emails.
Price and Availability
The official press release mentioned Jr.com, Walmart.com and D&H as the first distributors of Ematic eGlide Pro X. As to the price, this tablet is marketed at $219.99; not a bad price for a very competitive tablet.
There are tons of features not mentioned here but having fairly high specs with the latest version of Android, you could almost expect this device can pose a good competition in the market it’s targeting.
