Optus To Bring HTC One S And V To Australia Soon

Optus To Bring HTC One S And V To Australia Soon:

Presently, of the HTC One series phones, only the top end, HTC One X is widely available on the island continent of Australia carried on by the major carriers there. The HTC other One series phones lower down the order, the HTC One S and the HTC One V, are not not yet reached their shores via any of the major carriers. The three major carriers, of which Optus and Vodafone offer the HTC One X and Telstra provides the HTC One XL device.

An anonymous source has now tipped ausdroid.net that HTC’s other two lower-end phones, the One S and the One V, will soon be made available by the carrier Optus.
Optus is Australia’s second largest carrier and it currently offers the HTC One X without any initial payment for a charge, starting at, $44 per month with a two year contract. The anonymous source offers no other information other than, that it will soon be available via Optus. We can however speculate a reasonably accurate figure, of $35-40 per month for the One S and a $25-30 monthly payment for the One V, comparing the rate at which the One X is available with Optus. It could also be possible that Optus is not the sole carrier that might offer the One S and the One V.
Coming to the tech specs of the two HTC phones. The One S model will share most of the specifications with the One S available in the U.S. with a few changes. The 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touch screen with 960 x 540 pixels resolution, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, an 8 MP rear-facing camera, the running of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and a 1,650 mAh non-removable battery all remain the same. The changes are that, it will come without a microSD card slot. Also, it will not come with the dual-core 1.5 GHz S4 processor, instead with the 1.7 GHz S3 CPU which powers the European and the Asian models.
The HTC One V on the other hand will be powered by a 1 GHz single-core CPU coupled with a  512 MB RAM, 4 GB of on-board storage can be extended with via a microSD card slot, the OS is  Android Ice Cream Sandwich, a 5 MP rear-facing camera, and a 3.7-inch 480 X 800 touchscreen.
