After plenty of waiting, PlayStation gamers will finally be able to engage in mounted combat, as Bethesda plans to release the 1.7 update for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim tomorrow.
The patch will include the aforementioned support for mounted combat as well as a host of new fixes. The update will go live tomorrow, August 9th for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users; however this is a catch for those in Europe. European gamers who are patiently waiting for the PS3 update will have to wait a bit longer, as the patch isn’t set to go live in the region until next week.
Let’s hope that this long awaited patch truly does resolve the many issues that PlayStation gamers have been having with Skyrim ever since its launch. If you’d like to join us in our lamenting of this whole situation, be sure to head over to our recent feature on Bethesda’s rocky relationship with the PlayStation platform.
Now if only we could get the Dawnguard DLC sometime in the near future.
