Kantar Worldpanel ComTech today released their latest smartphone sales data of various countries across the world. The period covered is the 12 weeks ending 8th July 2012. Not so great news on Windows Phone sales, they noted the following on their results,
After a period of promising looking growth, Windows Phone share remains stilted around the 3% mark across most markets, as consumers await the release of much vaunted Windows 8 devices.According to their data, Windows Phone holds the following market share in each of the countries,
Windows Phone platform’s success needs great momentum from Windows Phone 8 device sales. I hope Microsoft and Nokia have their plans to make right marketing to drive more sales by taking advantage of consumer excitement. What do you think?

- Germany – 4.6%
- France – 1.2%
- Italy – 4.1%
- Spain – 1.2%
- Australia – 4.8%
- US – 2.3%
